The Golf Network takes on Worldwide Golf Shops

Sports Retail Networks expands The Golf Network with acquisition of Worldwide Golf Shops' digital signage network

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – Sports Retail Networks LLC announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the Worldwide Golf Shops’ digital signage network and will merge it with The Golf Network™ - the country’s largest network of digital displays serving golf retailers across the country. SRN acquired the network from Digipulse LLC, an Orange County, California digital media company that has run the WGS network for over three years. Digipulse will continue to support the network for TGN.

Worldwide Golf Shops operates over 40 leading retail golf stores nationwide and includes Roger Dunn Golf Shops, The Golf Mart, Van’s Golf Shops and Golfer’s Warehouse.

“WGS and its flagship stores represent a significant expansion of The Golf Network,” says Peter Vrettas, SRN’s CEO. “We have eyed WGS for some time and are thrilled to add its high quality and high volume stores to our network.”

Studies show that the network already has produced significant results in-store. According to Arbitron, The Golf Network™ has produced a sales lift of as much as 30% in testing locations, and over 40% of viewers made an unplanned purchase after watching the Network’s programming.

The Golf Network™ currently airs in 100 stores nationally, including Dunham’s Sporting Goods, Golf USA, Pro Golf Discount, ParMasters, and Golf Etc. TGN reaches an audience of over 4 million viewers.
